Fees are usually the first question anyone asks about baking classes in Chennai — so here they are, plainly, for Butter Up's academy. No enquiry form needed just to learn the price.

The Advance in Baking Program is our 7-day flagship course for beginners and hobby bakers. The seasonal offer fee is ₹11,999 (regular fee ₹15,000), and that price already includes GST. It runs as one practical week: Day 1 is muffins, cupcakes and cakes; Day 2 cookies, biscuits and tarts; Day 3 breads and buns; Day 4 pizza, garlic bread and donuts; Day 5 puff and croissant; Day 6 brownies and cheesecakes; and Day 7 frostings — whipping cream, ganache and buttercream.

The Master in Baking Program runs 15 days and costs ₹20,000 on the seasonal offer (regular fee ₹25,000), GST included. It includes everything in the Advance program, then goes further: premium desserts like mousse cake, panna cotta and jar cakes; glazes and shaped cakes; theme cakes; fondant art with figurines; wedding cakes with stacking and decoration — plus a business theory track covering business plans, product and equipment choices, packaging, marketing, menu planning, pricing and licences.

Batches are small: 10 seats per batch, so every student bakes at their own station with the coach's attention. The next flagship batch starts on Saturday, November 21, 2026. A seat is confirmed with a 70% advance, and the balance is due before the batch starts. Every flagship student receives a Certificate of Completion.

You do not need experience, and you do not need to own an oven before joining — equipment guidance is part of the course, and you take home everything you bake. Classes run at our Tharamani academy (1A, 1st floor, Kambar St, Thanthai Periyar Nagar), and Butter Up also has a combined academy and essentials branch in Porur.
